PATTERSON:

This church is the oldest in Pierce County. Established in circa 1830,
this church personifies the old style primitive form of worship. The
cemetery contains many of the first citizens of the county including war
veterans of various wars. The only known veteran buried in Pierce County who
served in the American Revolution rests here. Church Services are still held
here throughout the year. The church is located between Blackshear and
Patterson on the County Road. Contact the Pierce County Chamber of Commerce
for info: 912-449-7044.
