Preserving Our Heritage for Future Generations

PIERCE COUNTY HISTORICAL AND GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY
PRESENTS
Pierce County, Georgia's History In Pictures

      The Pierce County Historical & Genealogical Society in conjunction with Arcadia Publishing are in the process of publishing the very first pictorial history book of Pierce County. We are in search of the oldest and rarest photographs we can find in order to include them in our book.  We want this treasured keepsake to be the most detailed and informative photographic history of Pierce County depicting the county and her people from its earliest beginnings 

      We are seeking original photographs or excellent to good quality copies of photographs for the purpose of reproducing them. Once your photograph has been reproduced we will return it to you in pristine condition guaranteed.

      The deadline for submitting a photograph you would like to see in the book is May 15, 2001.

      The photographs we are seeking should be identified if at all possible and should be directly related to Pierce County and consist of, but are not restricted to, the following subject matters: 

People
Schools
Churches
Maps
Clubs & Civic Groups
Stores
Public Buildings
Animals
Agriculture
Military (War Between The States, Spanish American War, WWI, WWII)
Cemeteries
Factories
Automobiles, Wagons, and other Transportation

      Please provide as much information as possible on the pictures.

      We hope you will support the society in its endeavor to share the history of Pierce County through the pictures of its citizens. 

      All proceeds of this book will go toward the preservation of Pierce County.
